About this product

• Hebitaxime Vial for Injection is used to treat all types of infections such as respiratory infections such as pneumonia, genitourinary infection, and bone and joint infection.

Dosage and method of use:

Adults:

• 1 - 2 g / 6 - 8 hours by IV, maximum 2 g / 4 hours IV.
• Caesarean section: 1 gm intravenously as soon as the umbilical cord is cut. The second and third doses are given after 6 & 12 hours, respectively, from the time of the first dose.
• Nervous system infection: 2 gm IV / 4-6 hours.
• Bacterial endometriosis: 1 - 2 g IM or IV / 8 hours, for at least 24 hours.
• Epiglottitis: 2 gm intravenously / 6-8 hours, for 7-10 days.
• Genital infection or inflammation of the urethra: 1 gm intravenously/8 hours.
• Intra-abdominal infection: 1-2 gm intravenously or intramuscularly every 6-8 hours, for 7-10 days.
• Arthritis: 1 - 2 g IM or IV / 6 - 8 hours, for 7 - 10 days.
• Meningitis: 2 g intravenously / 4-6 hours, for 14 days, depending on the severity of the disease.
• Osteomyelitis: 1 - 2 gm intravenously or intramuscularly / 6 - 8 hours, for 4 - 6 weeks.
• Peritonitis: 1 - 2 g intravenously / 6 - 8 hours, for 5 - 14 days.
• Pneumonia: 1 - 2 g intravenously or intramuscularly / 6 - 8 hours, for 7 - 21 days.
• Lyme disease: 2 g intravenously / 8 hours, for 14-28 days.
• Children: 100-200 mg/kg/day, by IV injection, to be divided into 2-3 doses throughout the day.
• For ages 13 and over: the same dose as an adult.
• Bacterial blood contamination.

Indications:

• Gastrointestinal tract infection: bacterial gastroenteritis, bacterial abdominal infection, peritonitis.
• Preventive treatment: in intensive care and after surgeries, especially cesarean delivery.
• Lower respiratory tract infection: pneumonia, bronchitis.
• Bacterial epiglottitis.
• Urogenital Infections: Urinary tract infection, cystitis, urethritis, nephritis and pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis, caused by non-progressive infection Neisseria gonorrhoeae, but like other cephalosporins, it is not effective against chlamydia Chlamydia trachomatis.
• Bacterial blood contamination.
• Nervous system infection: bacterial meningitis.
• Bone and joint infections: Osteomyelitis (bacterial arthritis), bone marrow infection.
• Lyme disease.
• Bacterial dermatitis.
